Hot Guys – And Cabaret?

When I was young-er (than I am now) going out and getting into the gay "scene" was nothing special. My local gay venue was a real dive, run by a straight married couple, with a jukebox on the wall, a pool table and a 10' x 10' dance floor with cheap disco lighting. They even had brass Horses on the bare brick walls and brown leather couches, like a typical British country pub.

That place has changed so much with the success of being the only gay venue in the city, and now it's a three-level sprawling venue with a club basement, a wine bar on the top floor, a massive outdoor platform and some no competition. Every weekend it's packed to the rafters with gay, straight, bi and curious people from miles around, with its own local celebrities who seem to know everyone.

Things change, but some things seem to be going back to the old 80's image of what gay nightlife should be.

This impressive artistic photography endeavor makes me think of Disco, Studio 54, the gay clubs of the 70's and 80's, the theater of it, the cabaret!

It's called ULTRANOCTURNE, and it gathers some of the hunkiest young men of the London nightlife scene in a digital collage that celebrates the colorful and imaginative characters of a scene I could only dream of when I crept out of the closet and stumbled around in that country pub feeling like I'd been robbed. lol

Are things going back to an age of performance? Is the gay world of cabaret returning? I have to say I think so, and I'm looking forward to it. What's you're opinion?
